In partnership with Alana's Foundation, it is our pleasure to offer free on-site flu vaccinations to students attending East China Schools this year.
2014 at Belle River Elementary. Just fill out the paperwork and send it back to school with your child. You do not have to be present. Students will receive the mist during the school day.
Why get a flu vaccine? The best way to minimize
or avoid the spread of flu is to get an annual flu vaccination. Each
year the vaccine protects against
new strains, therefore, the vaccine should be administered annually. Click on the following

Story:
At Health Heroes, we specialize in on-site flu vaccination clinics. There
is no need for parents
to take time off work, check their children out of school,
and stand in long lines to
receive an annual flu vaccination. Clinics will be staffed with two (2) state-licensed nurses and one (1) administrative
person. Flu vaccines are provided at NO COST to students,
parents, schools or local/state government. We bill both Medicaid
and private
insurance; however, we never bill students or parents for any out of pocket
expenses or deductibles. Qualifying uninsured students
can be given the vaccine,
free of charge. Student participation is voluntary.
FluMist®, the LAIV Quadrivalent pain-free, nasal spray
vaccine will be provided. Flu Zone® IIV4 or injections are also available. Please complete
and sign only one consent
form -white form is for the FluMist (LAIV)
and green form is for the FluZone (IIV4).
To request a green form for
the injectable FluZone
(IIV4), please contact
Health Heroes at 888-621-5520. Both LAIV and IIV4 have been demonstrated to be effective
in children and adults; however,
several studies have indicated
superior efficacy of LAIV in children.
Side effects
from the LAIV and IIV4 are considered comparable.
If you have additional questions
or concerns, please
contact Health Heroes
at 888-621-5520. We hope to see your child in clinic!
Warmest regards,
